Maybe Maybe you knew you wanted to breastfeed even before you became pregnant. Or maybe you’re beginning to think about breastfeeding now.

Getting ready for the baby! Now that you’re pregnant, it’s a good time to get the information you need. Then you will feel ready and confident when the baby comes.

Each time you visit your WIC center, you will have the chance to learn more.

Meeting one-on-one You will meet one-on-one with a WIC educator when you enroll. And you will meet with a WIC educator again during each trimester. These educators will share helpful information about nutrition and breastfeeding, and answer your questions.

They will also give you magazines and handouts to read at home and to show your family.

Parent sessions We offer several different mother-to-be group sessions. If you are pregnant and enrolled in our WIC program, you can attend parent sessions for pregnant mothers.

The parent sessions will help you feel confident when your baby comes. This will help you when your baby is born and you’re ready to start breastfeeding.

Our groups will help you understand your new baby’s behavior. Like knowing when he’s hungry even before he cries.

Our groups will also help you connect with other pregnant women, and share ideas for handling the changes in your life once the new baby comes.
