You’re invited! WIC participants who are pregnant as well as parents of WIC infants are invited to join a parent support group at one of our nearby WIC offices.

What happens during a support group? Parents have the opportunity to ask questions, describe their experiences, and share their stories. Talking with other participants is special too. WIC staff share important information, as needed, during the support group.

Bilingual Each discussion is held in both English and Spanish.

Added benefits of parent support groups Any new information helps parents speak with WIC educators during one-on-one appointments. If a WIC parent or guardian participates in online education, the support group information reinforces what the parent or guardian learns online. When the WIC parent or guardian reads a WIC handout, they are reminded of the information discussed during the support group.
