Lundquist WIC Program

For over 50 years, the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program has been a cornerstone of maternal and child health. We offer vital support through the provision of nutritious supplemental foods, comprehensive nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and support, and referrals to essential healthcare and social services. WIC serves expectant and postpartum individuals, infants, and children up to the age of 5 who are nutritionally vulnerable.

The Lundquist WIC Program operates across 11 locations in South Los Angeles, serving over 61,100 participants each month. Our evidence-based approach to nutrition education, counseling, and support has yielded significant positive outcomes, including a reduction in premature births, infant mortality, and instances of low birth weight. Moreover, preventative healthcare practices and the overall dietary quality of both parents and children have noticed a noticeable improvement.
